Incumbent works closely with business and AMS resources identify and recommend functional solutions in response to business requirements. Performs functional analysis, requirements definition, solution design and evaluates test results for Finance Division.
*An understanding of the business processes in finance, accounting and controlling to enable the analysis of business requirements and development of solutions for business challenges.
*Knowledge of SAP the Finance and Controlling modules and integration points with SD, PP, PS and MM.
*Understanding of consolidation and financial closing process.
*Ability to conceptualize accounting detail summarized into meaningful financial analysis and accounting reporting.
*Has a strong understanding and experience in the SAP methodology used by the organization.
*Ability to collaborate in a creative and challenging environment and present fact-based recommendations.
*The ability to collaborate with a wide-range of business users across job levels, geographic regions and business areas.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Understanding of indirect taxes.
*Supports monthly and quarterly accounting close, consolidations and financial reporting in SAP ECC and BCS systems.
*Ensures timely resolution to production functional issues and business enhancement requests.
*Participates in the identification and resolution of gaps in the business processes.
*Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, process mapping, understanding configuration tables and transaction/control tables.
*Evaluates and approves results of integration and user acceptance testing.
*Collaborates with tax department to resolve indirect tax issues and support OneSource system changes.
*Acts as a liaison between the business and AMS, gathering additional information when needed and keeping the business informed regarding process.
*Creates and maintains system and user documentation according to standards.
*Supports internal and external audit activities through both diligent use of IT toolsets and responding to auditor PBC requirements.
*Consults in security/authorization set-up, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation.
*Some limited module configuration and configurable master data may be required.
*Participates in system and/or software upgrades and installs.
*Engages with major project teams / acquisition teams as follows◦Assist with fit-gap analysis against existing configuration base-line.
◦Act as an advisor to project team members
◦Participate in hypercare support phase
◦Deliver end-user training
*Performs other duties as required or assigned
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in Information Technology and / or Finance related field, MBA a plus.
*A minimum of 15 years of experience in a related position.
*A minimum of 10 years of experience with SAP finance and controlling modules preferred.
*Experience with BPC or BCS (SAP Business Consolidations) preferred.
*Exposure to OneSource (Sabrix) or other indirect tax software preferred.
*Exposure to Z-option and Concur a plus.
*Equivalent combination of education and experience
*CPA, CMA or CIA preferred.
