Required Skills/Special Training:
Familiarity with Mathcad, Matlab, Creo or other 3D/2D CAD software programs, NASA & KSC specifications and Standards, MS Project or other scheduling software, Fluids & Propulsion System cost estimating, & Systems engineering.
Advanced knowledge of Launch Site Fluids & Propulsion System Ground Support Equipment & Facility Systems Design processes, Fluids & Propulsion System Designs & Operations, ASME, CGA, ANSI, ISA, EJMA, ASTM, AWS, ASHRAE, API, NFPA, and other pertinent industry codes and standards, Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, Fluids & thermal calculation & analysis methodologies & software tools (Sinda/Fluint, Fluent, AFT Fathom & Arrow), Pipe flexibility analysis methodologies & software tools (PipePak, Caesar II), and Fluids & Propulsion System fabrication, test, and qualification methods.
Must have Professional attitude and behavior, ability to excel in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and priorities while working on multiple tasks, strong work ethic and drive to succeed, willingness to learn as well as to help others succeed, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer relation skills.
Will require working considerable amount of overtime and some travel may be required.
Education & Years of Experience:
BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace) with a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience. MS desirable in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, & Aerospace) with a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience and Current Florida Professional Engineering Registration.
