The California High-Speed Rail program will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2029, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.
The California High Speed Rail Authority has awarded WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff the Program Management role within the Rail Delivery Partners (RDP) program delivery team. As a result we have an immediate opportunity for an IT Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of IT services and steady-state operations for Authority and RDP technology initiatives, reporting directly to the Technical Manager – Business Systems and IT Portfolio Manager. The IT Operations Manager will define and establish policies and procedures designed to ensure consistently high levels of IT service performance, and will manage, prioritize, coordinate workloads and efforts across teams to meet or exceed IT service delivery SLAs. Customer satisfaction, quality focus, and a highly organized approach to problem solving and streamlining support workflows are critical for success in this role. The IT Operations Manager is responsible for establishing, prioritizing, and supervising varied tasks as it applies to infrastructure and enterprise application service delivery, and will be responsible for review and architecture of emerging and innovative technologies for end user computing. The IT Operations Manager will develop policy and procedures for various IT infrastructure, application, and service management processes and maintain them, and will be responsible for managing the system change management process, and work with IT teams to identify challenges and communicate resolution to the appropriate program areas.
