Candidate will lead an information technology asset management operation for an IT services support contract in support of a Department of Defense customer. Incumbent will lead an asset management team in the preparation and deployment of desktop, laptop and virtual desktop infrastructure/zero client systems, management of stockage levels of IT equipment and peripherals, and will also provide supervisory oversight of oversight of an off-site IT warehouse team and their functions. Incumbent will also lead inventory and sustainment of required IT stockage items including computers and peripheral equipment using Government-directed software applications and processes (Defense Property Accountability System and Remedy ticketing system). Incumbent maintains rigorous documentation and inventory control in databases consistent with customer asset management regulations and updates Government databases as needed. Reports inventory information to customer. Manages ten subordinate personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent may perform one or more of the following duties.)
a. Manages Government-directed priorities and actions of an IT asset management team via Remedy ticketing system and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Leads the IT team and directly participates in preparation and deployment of desktop, laptop and virtual desktop infrastructure/zero client systems and other IT peripherals to support customer requirements.
b. Leads the IT asset management team and participates in all aspects of IT property management actions including receiving, identification, records, movement, storage, inventories, reports, and closeout using Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) software and Remedy Ticketing system.
c. Receives IT equipment, tracks status of deliveries, and generates all necessary paperwork to accept equipment through the government property process using Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) software and Remedy.
d. Inventory new equipment deliveries for transfer to hand receipt holders using Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) software and Remedy Ticketing system.
e. Provide follow up to customer requests to ensure quality of service.
f. Coordinate inventory reporting, hand receipt and property management using Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) software.
g. Perform inventory management for all common services to include desktop computers, computer room assets, PBX, blackberry wireless devices.
h. Oversees a warehouse management team that is responsible for maintaining two warehouse facilities to include working with landlord for facility upkeep and with corporate headquarters for purchasing of needed essentials for warehouse functions.
i. Perform supervisory functions including team development, counseling, and performance feedback.

b. Supervision Received – Reports directly to Project Lead/Manager. Works under direct supervision. Follows established procedures or previously issued instructions, reporting to supervisor for assistance or new instructions. Work is reviewed for results.

A B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field with five to seven years of experience in Department of Defense supervising IT equipment imaging and preparation in a logistics/asset management environment. Relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Skills/Certifications/Training – Demonstrated experience with Department of Defense IT property accountability practices for an IT asset management team, logistics procedures and warehouse operations. Direct experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) software application in the course of daily duties. Proficiency with Remedy Ticketing system. Certification for logistics operations and property management highly desired. Experience supporting a DoD IT asset management organization highly desired. COTS software proficiency including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Netscape, MS Mail/Exchange. Proficiency using variety of office equipment and machines. Some experience in developing spreadsheets, graphics for reporting purposes. Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and a professional and courteous demeanor. Fundamental knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
